Eating & Drinking Guide

The 2019/20 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £5.95 (+p&p).

Magma Café is run by Susang Bomzan who used to work in Leith Walk’s Punjabi Junction, a community cafe devoted to improving the lives of minority ethnic women in Edinburgh. She’s now branched out with her own venture – a small, down to earth coffee shop which opened in July 2017, just a few doors down from the King’s Theatre in busy Tollcross. She’s brought her traditional homemade Punjabi and Nepali recipes with her, adding curries, momo dumplings and stir fries to a menu of French toast breakfasts, green lentil wraps and hearty soups, with plenty vegetarian and vegan options. There is an impressive selection of delicious homemade gluten and lactose-free cakes too.
