The team behind former Avenue Coffee bring a similar focus on local produce for breakfast, brunch and more, along with coffee from Scottish roasters.

The 2019/20 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £5.95 (+p&p).
With a prime location on Byers Road, Turadh – formerly Avenue Coffee, with some staff remaining – is ideal for both the West End sophisticate seeking a small meal prepared with quality ingredients and the student after a smooth coffee. The imagination of the menu, with its variations on Scottish favourites, sets it above the majority of coffee places along the road, although this is reflected in the slightly higher costs. The design is simple, clean and elegant, but the area can feel a little bit cramped – and it is difficult to enjoy a quiet conversation when the seating is so close together. The food is hearty and well prepared – the all-day breakfasts are impressive – and an interesting, rarely seen aspect of the menu is the variety of lattes, which take in beetroot-based beverages and a warming turmeric and honey combination.
