A rodizio-style restaurant offering a parade of up to 15 different meats in a stylish setting.
Much like Brazil, the country that inspires it, Fadenza is a busy, atmospheric place with a wonderful, lively feel. The concept is simple: pay the set price for lunch or dinner, then sit back and get ready to sample a huge array of meats cooked in a multitude of ways, delivered to your table by welcoming and attentive staff who keep the whole experience from feeling conveyor-belt impersonal. With eight cuts available for lunch and a gluttonous fifteen for dinner, it can be tough to keep up the pace, but if you turn your handy card from green to red the servers will give you a break while your stomach catches up. Meat is cooked medium rare as standard, but you can request that some cuts are cooked to your preference. Sides are served buffet-style and range from cured meats to salad to feijoada, making a welcome contrast to all that meat – but don’t overload as the skewers are definitely the main event. Brilliant for groups (a set price makes the end of meal bill-wrangling a dream) they have convincing veggie and vegan options too. The wine list is full of accessible choices, and desserts (if you have room) are mostly light and refreshing.
All the tradition behind the unique rodizio way of serving. Enjoy the finest cuts of grilled meats served to your table along with a selection of sumptuous Argentinian and Brazilian sides, complemented by their list of exquisite fine wines.
Centrally located on the highly reputable George Street, Fazenda Edinburgh sits at the foot of Edinburgh Castle. Surrounded by iconic landmarks and luxurious retailers, the 175-cover rodizio restaurant is one of the many lavish establishments in this flourishing district.
Fazenda offers an amalgam of Scotland’s heritage and South American tradition by blending the sophistication and style of their modern interior and authentic rodizio experience with their fervour for finest service experience and passion for sharing their South American roots.
The Fazenda journey begins with a sharing board of Picada; a selection of cured meats, cheese and pão de queijo. Guests are then invited to continue their experience with a selection of Brazilian and Argentinian side accompaniments. These sides were created by Fazenda’s very own Executive Chef Fran Martinez and were curated ensuring to pay tribute to the roots of their heritage. Here, you will find dishes such as purê de bata doce; a sweet potato dish infused with feta cheese and mint, the Brazilian classic Feijoada - bean and meat stew, and many more. Guests of Fazenda are then invited to indulge in the freshly grilled meats, ‘churrascaria’-style (‘from the barbecue’) carved from succulent joints at the table by the passadores with exceptional standards of service.
