Bread Meats Bread
A constant stream flock to this burger branch to enjoy good-looking surrounds and huge portions of well-priced, tasty food.
This top-of-the-food-chain burger bar is slick, funky and a helluva lot roomier than the city centre branch. The mustard yellow seats, grey tiles and brilliant display of patterned, wooden trays, would not look amiss on a restaurant interiors Pinterest board. The casual but quirky atmosphere attracts all types – including families – but it seems to especially pull in a young, hip crowd. Expect rainbow tones in hair and lots of people with their phones out, snapping their whopping big burgers. The juicy burgers are offered with numerous flavour combinations, all of which are all completely on point. The Kim Yong Bun doesn’t just get top marks for the name, but the burger, cheese and fried egg combo take the spicy edge off the sriracha mayo, while kimchi and lettuce give a satisfying crunch around the gooey-meaty goodness. A mountainous portion of poutine has a river of meaty gravy with huge hillocks of cheese curds, bacon and mustard-fried burgers – it’s pretty epic. Fries come with toppings like bacon and spicy beef mayo, reinforcing that this is the place to come for gorgeously gluttonous food.
