A constant stream flock to this burger branch to enjoy good-looking surrounds and huge portions of well-priced, tasty food.

The 2019/20 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £5.95 (+p&p).
This Glasgow staple has over 50 different burgers, hot dogs and sandwich offerings on its menu. The popular joint, which expanded to this roomier West End branch in 2016, continues to pull custom, and its buzzing atmosphere adds to its go-back appeal. The clientele is mainly students, given its proximity to the university, but it’s also popular with families, large groups and the young professional crowd. The inclusive vegetarian, vegan and halal options are a welcome component on the menu and mean that no one with a dietary requirement has to miss out or feel like an afterthought. The B12 vegan cheeseburger is surprisingly close to the real thing, with the texture of meat without being overly artificial, falsely flavoured or greasy. For the meat-eaters, the Clockwork Orange burger comes with the hip addition of crushed spicy Flamin’ Cheetos and sriracha mayo, both cult foods that have gained a lot of traction in recent times. For on the side, there are six different poutine options or loaded fries, such as the buffalo fries with sweet blue cheese and spicy sauce, or the squeaky goodness of lightly browned halloumi fries.
