Mezzidakia bills itself as an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, with dishes spanning the various cuisines of Turkey, Morocco, Greece and Lebanon. If a menu that far-reaching fills you with dread, you’ll be heartened to find such a harmonious and accomplished selection of dishes on offer. Diners can choose from an extensive menu of small plates. Food arrives as soon as its ready and fresh ingredients take centre stage, with vegetarians and seafood fans being well catered for here. The menu is designed with mixing and matching in mind and the flavours go well together. The Turkish flatbread pizzas taste great alongside the Greek filo parcels or the Lebanese lentil curry. Located on the busy dining thoroughfare of St Vincent Street, there is lots of competition nearby – some of it coming from sister restaurants Topolobamba and Chaakoo Bombay Café. Like those other ventures Mezzidakia has arrived fully formed, with confident trendy stylings, affordable lunch menus, good drinks choices and slick efficient service.
