The Herbivore Kitchen
Regular supper clubs, a police box on Melville Drive and a brand-new café puts the Herbivore Kitchen at the forefront of Edinburgh's growing vegan movement.
This newly opened café on Clerk Street specialises in vegan and veggie offerings for both sit-in and takeaway. Its close proximity to the university, and the lure of student discounts, make it popular among that particular demographic. The bright, spacious interior with additional seating downstairs features mismatched furniture with splashes of colour. Breakfast and lunch menus cover the likes of homemade pancakes, wraps, salads and hot specials. For something sweet, milkshakes and an appetising cake display do the trick, with a wide choice of brownies including a ginger and cardamom version. Outside catering is offered for corporate clients, weddings and parties and there's a supper club every month. All allergens are highlighted on the menu for those with dietary requirements.
