The popular Aberdeen-based curry chain moves south, with branches in Nicolson Street and Constitution Street.
Shri Bheema's is hidden behind a pillared facade at the quieter end of Constitution Street, with another branch in the Southside on Nicolson Street. Inside is spacious, with formal place settings and a few eclectic paintings on the walls to set the mood. Fully licenced, the menu is substantial, providing a tour of the cuisines and regions of India. Starters are plentiful, with the gobi manchurian marinated cauliflower a must for meat eaters and veggies alike – spicy, sticky, sweet and savoury. Goan lamb vindaloo comes with the expected punch of heat but also flavour.
- Delivery: Available through Shri Bheema website, hungry house and deliveroo.
- Provides: Vegetarian options (at least ¼ main courses)
- Music on stereo: Traditional Indian
