The Kama Sutra rises again, this time in Drummond Street with a focus on sharing plates and fusion food.
Many restaurants in Edinburgh offer Indian tapas but only Kama Sutra combines it with so many other world cuisines – fusions with typical Mexican, Mediterranean and Chinese dishes are all on offer. These twists range from subtle introductions of new flavours to typical Indian food (seen in the vegetable manchurian where mixed pakoras are dressed in a gentle Chinese soya and garlic paste sauce), to dishes where the Indian element is harder to detect, such as champinones al ajillo (pan-fried mushrooms cooked in white wine and garlic). There are also more traditional Indian dishes, including the likes of butter chicken, lamb rogan josh and a decent selection of tandoori, if you don’t fancy taking your plate on a round-the-world tour.
We love our food, whether it be from the indian-sub continant or tapas from mediteranian, and we want to share it with you.
Kama Sutra is not just limited to erotic pleasures but encompasses all sensory pleasures. Thus aromatic foods, seductive music, sensuous aromas, sultry surroundings and warm genuine service are what we pride ourselves in.
