Radicibus Italian Bistro
A small and stylish Italian in Stockbridge serving refined and impeccably sourced food in a cosy atmosphere.
Tucked away below street level among a row of shops and restaurants, Radici is a recent and welcome addition to the Stockbridge dining scene, filling a long-standing vacancy for a high-quality Italian. The compact space with its exposed brick walls and a decorative pile of logs in the fireplace combines with light wooden floors, wall-mounted wine bottles and monochrome images to produce a welcoming feel. The menu brims with fresh, simply-presented creations made from impeccably sourced ingredients, including some brought in from an organic farm in Italy. Starters include the Mediterranean salad, which is suitable for sharing and is a vibrant version of a caprese salad, with yellow and red tomatoes to accompany basil and creamy mozzarella. Mains have the same philosophy of keeping it simple and packed with flavour, like ragù di lepre which has only three components – pappardelle, wild hare ragù and aged pecorino – but is rich in taste. And rotolo cioccolato with mascarpone is a tempting chocolate roulade that rounds off a well-executed meal in style.
