Wagamama brings its bright, bustling noodle bar to the heart of St Andrew Square.
Taking over an impressive two-storey space in St Andrew Square is the most recent Wagamama Edinburgh opening. A starter of gyoza – five dimpled and delicate dumplings – can be ordered with a range of fillings and come steamed or fried with a dipping sauce, while seasoned crispy chicken pieces are served with a spiced sesame and soy sauce with fresh lime. Choose a big bowl of steaming noodle and rich broth ramen, available here in many varieties, enjoyed supped from a traditional bowl. Or perhaps try a chicken or vegetable katsu curry, served with a portion of sticky rice smothered in sweet fruity sauce. It’s always worth leaving a space for pud – the white chocolate and ginger cheesecake or the coconut ice-cream sprinkled with coconut flakes and passion fruit sauce are a dream. There's plenty of vegan and vegetarian options and it’s also super child-friendly, with appropriately sized portions of some of the restaurant's favourites for the wee ones.
wagamama is a celebration of asian food, inspired by japanese ramen bars and is a truly unique way to eat. A menu created to soothe, nourish and sustain, whether you choose a little ginger to warm you up, chillies that kick or noodles to nourish the body and soul. Pick from all kinds of rice and noodle dishes, alongside fresh salads and shareable sides – as well as feel good juices and expertly crafted asian beers.
wagamama have an extensive vegetarian, vegan and non-gluten menu offering as well as a kids menu for little noodlers.
