Shed 35 Brewery
Shed 35 Brewery was started in October 2016 by three friends working in the oil industry in Aberdeen. Gary Mellon had been brewing beer as a home brewer for over ten years, but with the downturn in oil prices and looming redundancies, he began to explore the possibilities of making beer commercially. Teaming up with Billy Duncan and John Wilson, Shed 35 Brewery was formed and named in homage to Mellon's early brewing days in the garden shed. Duncan stepped out of the business in early 2017, leaving Mellon and Wilson to take it forward with their initial crop of brews Tomahawk IPA, Red Bear, a Red Irish style ale, and Patriot, an American Pale Ale.
