Producer of preserves, chutneys and jellies, with many ingredients sourced locally from the surrounding Avon and Clyde Valleys.
Millers Larder is Jean and George Miller, two trained chefs who both come from farming backgrounds, and so it's not surprising that quality very much takes precedence over bulk when it comes to their preserves and chutneys. Ingredients are sourced locally from the Clyde and Avon Valleys, and everything is produced traditionally in small batches. Their Perfyit Piccalilli, winner of Scotland Food & Drink's Foodservice Product of the Year in 2016, is the most lauded, but the Big Braw Onion Marmalade, and the Spiced Tomato Chutney pack equally weighty punches. They are mainly trade suppliers, distributed nationwide to the likes of hotel groups, the Open golf championship, Murrayfield, Hampden and many others, while retail jars can be picked up at local Lanarkshire suppliers such as Ramsay of Carluke and the Duke's Deli in Lanark. George and Jean can also be found passing on their skills to schoolchildren and hospitality students.
