The Ferguson Fawsitt Arms
A traditional inn where you can dine, drink and sleep under the same roof. The Ferguson Fawsitt Arms got its licence in 1866 when John Daniel Ferguson, the brother of the Walkington rector married wealthy heiress Miss Eliza Fawsitt. The decor still contains a lot of the building's original features, many of which draw on the strong community influence the two families had on the town.
As well as offering pub, restaurant and overnight facilities, the Ferguson Fawsitt Arms also caters to weddings, christenings, business meetings and charity and fundraising events, as well as hosting a curry club, a steak night and occasional murder mystery dinners.
