Named after Verulamium, the ancient Roman town which predated St Albans, the Varulam Arms has been a pub for over 150 years. It serves up foraged wild food from the Hertfordshire countryside alongside the finest locally-sourced meat. The bar stocks real ale, craft beer and wild cocktails using with syrups, spirits and liqueurs all made from foraged plants. The Verulam Arms is available for hire in its entirety for events, parties and functions.

The closest car parks to the pub are the Christopher Place multi-storey, which is a paying car park, or Gombards car park, which is free of charge after 6:30pm.
