The Orkney Chocolate Company
Established in 2013 on the island of Shapinsay, Tina Chetwyn’s company now produces between 1500 and 2000 chocolates each week. Seasonal variations are the hallmark of this innovative company, with lemon burst and raspberry rush appearing over summer, to be replaced by warming notes of Irish cream, brandy and blackberry liqueur as winter descends. They are happy to create bespoke products, such as the special ‘Orkney broonie’ variety created for Orkney Science Festival 2015 in homage to F. Marian McNeil, writer of The Scots Kitchen and an Orkney native. The chocolates are stocked in a growing number of stores throughout Orkney and are also available to buy through the online shop.
