The Dreel Tavern
Historic tavern with a beer garden serving real ales, gins and an extensive pub menu with local produce.
If walls could speak, the rough-hewn stone of the Dreel Tavern could surely tell a few tales of the good times had in this space since the 1540s. A truly traditional tavern, with a brazier and low ceilings, its name comes from the burn that runs behind the building and can be seen from the beer garden. Food is served in lunch and dinner settings with seafood featuring strongly in a line-up that includes seafood chowder, fish and chips, mussels and artisan sausages. Haddock and potato chowder makes a perfect partner for one of the three real ales usually on tap at the bar. A favourite with locals, at weekends it hosts a monthly open mic which hosts some of the musical talent East Neuk is known for. Afternoons turn into evenings very easily at The Dreel, so set aside time to go with the flow and soak up the atmosphere.
