Cook and Indi's World Buffet
Cook & Indi continue to build up a mini-empire of global buffet domination with a recent opening taking over the old Harry Ramsden’s fish restaurant close to Springfield Quay. It’s a big space, able to accommodate 200 diners, and given the popularity of their other two branches in the City Centre (others nearby include Bishopbriggs and Darnley), one wouldn’t bet against them filling it on a regular basis. It’s a handy formula for families and groups when agreement on what to eat is hard to reach – or for those who like to loosen belts before their stomach lets the brain know it’s had enough. It’s hard to keep up with their cuisines but expect Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Spanish and possibly Mexican on offer at ridiculous all-you-can-eat prices ranging from midweek lunch at £5.99 to £12.99 on weekend evenings. Crazy prices – and there are cheap cocktails and refillable soft drinks, too. Restrained dining it isn’t, but it is cheap, immensely varied and decent quality for prices you’ll barely notice.
