The Blair Tavern
This traditional roadside inn underwent a total renovation in 2008, under direction from co-proprieter and interior designer Tracey Murdoch. The classy dining room blends contemporary styling with reclaimed log beams and roaring fires. The menu continues this playful theme where black pudding, bacon and a tattle scone is described as a salad. Warming country staples such as lamb's liver or sausage and ale pie compete with steaks and pork chops direct from the chargrill. In addition to a good vegetarian choice, they also offer a separate gluten-free menu.
