Jacques’ Table is Ayrshire’s only hidden restaurant and is run by classically trained Chef Jacques Troquet and his partner Sylvia. Offering diners a unique fine dining experience at their Sinclairston home, they provide high-end French-style cooking on Fridays, twice monthly and on Sundays throughout the year. With the chef’s impressive background, Jacques’ Table is most likely the only one of its kind in Scotland. The four-course menus, which demonstrate the chef’s flair and creativity include an indulgent selection of canapés and aperitifs on arrival. A complimentary mise en bouche, fish course, main and dessert complete the line up. Although, be warned, coffee is served with a selection of homemade truffles and petit fours. In line with the chef’s French roots and a nod to seasonality menus change twice monthly. Diners can expect generous portions and top-class food with fish, chicken, beef, lamb, quail, duck and other seasonal offerings. Bring your own bottle, and if you fancy wines expertly matched to to the food, then a local wine merchant will arrange and deliver to Jacques’ Table. Whether dining with a group of friends or as a couple, expect dinner to be a relaxed and sociable affair.
