Girvan Early Growers Ltd
Producers of the famous Ayrshire new potatoes, Girvan Early Growers specialise in growing and harvesting these little pearls of the earth. The unique climate and sandy soil along the Ayrshire coast is what make the potatoes, known as earlies to locals, so special - in fact an application to obtain the coveted Protected Geographical Indication status is currently underway, which would ensure authenticity and regional production of Ayrshire earlies. Girvan Early Growers supply larger companies like Albert Bartlett, but also sell to the public with 20kg bags available to purchase from the factory at Grangeton Industrial Estate during the season.
