'The Tweedie' commands a loyal customer base for homemade soups, baking and the food and gift shop.
A shop and café under one roof, 'The Tweedie' runs a warming menu of at least three different soups, three puddings and a selection of cakes and bakes, all homemade. Alongside the regular list of sandwiches, toasties and jacket potatoes, there's a specials board with two daily hot specials: macaroni cheese, stovies or paté, for example. The owners have a family farm, so beef and potatoes come from there, topped up by Bel's Butchers in Edzell. The small on-site farm shop sells local chutneys, oatcakes and bread from Bliss Bakery, as well as fresh vegetables.
