Ardshealach Fine Foods
Run by Christoph and Christina Ewers, Ardshealach is a small smokehouse with a retail shop selling their hand-smoked salmon, mussels, nuts and cheese, as well as smoked meats - venison, chicken, haggis, Argyll ham and very popular duck breasts. Salmon is sourced from Freedom Foods-accredited Loch Duart and Wester Ross farms, and cheeses include Connage Highland Dairy's Dunlop, as well as a creamy brie, stilton and cheddar. The shop also stocks a range of other Scottish produce, including Saladworx's leaves, Uncle Roy's preserves, confectionery and oatcakes. Established since 2009, but having taken over the Macdonald's Smoked Produce smokehouse in 2013, they also export to France, their native Germany, and other EU countries.
