The Well-Hung Lamb Company
Not open to the public.
A family croft rearing animals to high welfare standards, The Well-Hung Lamb Co. deal in more than lamb, hogget and mutton - they also have outdoor reared pork, a small fold of Highland cattle, source wild venison and smoked salmon and have chanterelle mushrooms in season. Managing the process 'from birth to plate', they hang, butcher and process their own meat, turning it into hams, sausages, burgers and bacon, as well as mutton crofter's pies and venison stalker's pie. The necessarily small scale of the business means products are only seasonally available - they recommend emailing to find out what's in stock and taking it from there.
