Windshiel Farm is an organic farm in the Lammermuir Hills, producing beef, lamb, pork and eggs. Their Aberdeen Angus-sired cattle feed on grass during spring and summer and a kale/turnip mix during the winter, supplanted with silage and hay from the farm. The farm also has Lleyn sheep, and its Tamworth pigs are reared outdoors for better flavour. Windshiel Farm delivers its products to local retailers, but products can also be ordered directly from the farm and delivered by mail order. Windshiel Farm's meat is hung for between 7-10 days (lamb & mutton) and three weeks (beef). All the farm's livestock live outdoors with full access to pasture, including the flock of Lohmann Brown chickens.
