Processing fish for the award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar, Argofish was started in 1981 in the nearby fishing village of St Monans. Today it remains a relatively small business with no more than five employees producing all the fish for the shop and restaurant. Customers are welcome to look in at the premises, and can purchase fresh fish to take home, which can be hand-filleted while they wait. Fish is selected from the quayside market early each morning and hand-filleted - smoked haddock is a speciality.
