The Cock o' the North Co Ltd produces a liqueur, Cock o' the North Whisky Liqueur, made of single malt scotch whisky, blueberries, and, it's claimed, a secret ingredient known only to Granville Gordon, the Marquess of Huntly, and his son Alistair Aboyne, the Earl of Aboyne, who runs the company distillery. The recipe for the liqueur is based on an old family recipe held by the Clan Gordon, for a drink they gave to their men before entering battle. The eponymous liqueur is the company's flagship product, made from a single malt whisky which in turn comes from a distillery in Speyside. The Cock o' the North Co sells this distillery's own single malt Speyside whisky from their online website, along with Cu Dhub, a single malt whisky matured in charred oak casks, which give it a distinctive black colour and sweet taste.
