Ingrid Story always wanted to be a chocolatier, but she didn't train in the craft until she was 50. Having taken a class at the Belgian Federation of Chocolatiers with her husband Lucas, the couple moved from their native Lede in Belgium over to Scotland, and opened Story Chocolates in Inverness's Victorian Market Hall in 2002. All chocolates are handmade using Belgian chocolate – naturally – in a wide range of flavours, their signature being a selection of eight different whisky chocolates. Other fillings include apple, passion fruit & mango, white mint and champagne – Ingrid makes all the fillings herself to a secret recipe, refusing to use pre-made creams. Gift boxes can be ordered online for posting or collection, or you can visit them at their shop.
