The Stags Pavilion
Situated next to Lochranza Golf Course (it used to be a club house), The Stags Pavilion is nestled at the foot of the spectacular hills in the north end of the island. Rino Pisano runs the kitchen, his Italian background influencing the otherwise traditional menu, and his Scottish wife Valerie manages front of house. The regularly changing menu is dependent on what is available on the island or in season – think Italian stuffed crab, pot roast pheasant or pear & amaretto gateaux – and covers lunch, tea and cake and dinner. The restaurant’s garden is a good place to spot red deer and squirrels. Evening booking is advisable.
