Chocolates, ice-cream and preserves made and sold on the farm. Chocolate-making workshops, plus monthly Sundae Weekends.
Having smartly converted a disused stable in the grounds of their working farm into a chocolate kitchen, ice-cream laboratory and visitor centre, the Wilsons now put it to good use making chocolates by hand for gift boxes, wedding favours and to buy from the farm shop when it opens on Thursday to Sunday. Dairy ice-cream and dairy-free fruit ices are churned in small batches to be sold from the shop and built up into the knickerbockerglories served up in the café on the first ‘Sundae Weekend’ of the month. For these days they also have an off-sales licence to sell locally produced Kirkton liqueurs, also made on the farm, and Gilt gin and vodka – about the only thing they sell not produced on the farm. Jams and chutneys are another in-house speciality. Workshops and parties for children and adults are a regular occurrence, where hen dos, birthday parties or children aged six and older mould, decorate and scoff, and a classic 1920s ice-cream tricycle is available for hire.
