Just as sixºnorth was Scotland’s first Belgian beer brewery, so its eponymous bar is the first in Aberdeen dedicated to that country’s ales. Owner Robert Lindsay (or BrewBob, as he goes by) has stocked his bar with 300 bottled Belgian beers and a rotating selection of 27 draught beers, which include the whole sixºnorth stable, naturally, as well as the best of the UK and cherry-picked EU brews. The menu (delivered in electronic tablet form) is comprised of simple platters and hearty nibbles - chorizo, for example, or gouda - with mains including Carbonade, a Flemish beef stew, and Beer Soup, both served in bread bowls.
