The Barony opened on Biggar High Street in July 2012 and has built a solid reputation for fine dining and slick service. The essence of The Barony is laid-back and customer-focused with a compact, uncomplicated, seasonal menu made from local produce and with notable flourish. An imaginative range of dishes are available as light or main meals including smoked trout and orange salad, and venison meatballs with crispy potatoes. Their luxury fish pie is a favourite while puddings include Turkish delight chocolate tart and lemon panacotta. A liquor licence operating alongside BYOB is also popular with customers.
