Newton Farm Holidays
A family-run working farm rearing cattle, sheep and goats, also offering farm tours and B&B.
This family-run working farm is a jack of many trades. The farm itself stocks herds of beef and sheep which are sold locally at market, with a recently introduced herd of goats also being reared for their meat. The holiday business involves a bed and breakfast room in the farmhouse and a three-bedroom cottage, for which the farm was recently winner of a Regional Thistle award for most hospitable guesthouse, while farm tours introduce visitors to a selection of rehomed goats, alpacas, ducks and a micropig, as well as farmhouse baking at the end of the visit.
You can be assured of a warm Scottish welcome and a relaxing stay at Newton of Fothringham Farm, just 2 miles from the A90, in the County of Angus. The comfortable farmhouse is on a working arable and livestock, tenanted, family run farm of approximately 600 acres. All the newly decorated rooms have ensuite or private facilities, tea & coffee facilities, LCD digital TV, DVD, radio, trouser press, hairdryer and comfortable seating. Newly accredited in the Spring of 2007 by the Scottish Tourist Board, VisitScotland, the B & B has achieved a very good 3 star rating.
