All That is Coffee
A bright, spacious café attached to the WASP artists' studios serving up coffee, tea, cakes and sandwiches of the highest quality.
Stepping inside this coffee shop, which exists predominantly as a working area for creative types as part of the WASPS social enterprise, is like strolling into a contemporary art gallery. Huge windows flood the large space with natural light which is reflected against white walls adorned with artwork. It is at once relaxing, the only sounds being murmured chatter and the tapping of keyboards. The offering is limited, but quality trumps quantity. A huge range of teas are on offer and coffee from Dear Green is made with great care, with cakes supplied by Freedom Bakery a great accompaniment to the hot drinks. If it’s closer to lunchtime, sandwiches made by nearby café Once Upon a Tart are gems, ciabattas stuffed with chicken and chorizo, or piles of oozing brie and cranberry. Located in the under-explored artistic part of Merchant City south of Argyle Street, the café manages to inspire as well as satisfy.
