Oakes Marine / Sconser Scallops

David Oakes has been diving for king scallops since 1988, selling to hotels and restaurant on the Isle Of Skye and direct to the public. 'Twice dived', the scallops are shallow water finished. Harvested to order, weather permitting, you'll need to call David with 48 hours notice to arrange orders, before collecting them in Sconser. The scallops are sold alive in the shell and need shucking and cleaning (instructions provided). Sconser Scallops are used locally by restaurants including The Three Chimneys, Loch Bay Seafood Restaurant and the Stein Inn.
