When it comes to city centre cafés Riverhill Coffee Bar is something of a rarity, in that somehow the staff manage to cater to the tastes of both the office lunchtime rush and the families on a day out, with no one’s needs every being compromised. The food is varied and inventive, with the menu offering tasty twists on lunch staples in dishes such as the scampi and sriracha mayo roll, and the lamb and feta lattice pastry. The choice of cakes presents some equally exciting creations; the smooth and decadent banana brownie and the perfectly sweet white chocolate and passion fruit tart coming highly recommended. And, of course, the top-notch coffee is a big draw as well.
