Port Charlotte Hotel
Originally three shore-side cottages, Port Charlotte Hotel makes the most of the island's famous distilleries, arranging tours and offering an extensive range in the bar, alongside Islay Ales. The bar and restaurant serve up two distinct menus, for informal lunches and dinners along the lines of Islay beef and ale pie or smoked chicken salad, or the dining room's a la carte. This introduces local produce including Islay lobster, Argyll lamb and Loch Gruinart oysters, with, of course, Islay malt whisky to finish.
