Founded in 1989 by Anne and John Dobbie, Threepwood Fayre is a genuine cottage industry that now employs their sons too. The family sell their handmade sweets and chocolates at farmers' markets throughout the west of Scotland (including Paisley and Ayr Central), as well as online. Key members of a number of producers’ markets year round, it’s worth keeping an eye on their social media pages for details of upcoming appearances. The product range is made up of traditional Scottish stalwarts like fudge, tablet, chocolate gingers and macaroons, as well as ever-popular raspberry ruffles, flavoured marzipan petit fours and chocolate creams. They also make clootie dumplings (steamed fruit puddings), and their vintage events vans can often be found sporting chocolate fountains. The Dobbies supply retail or trade and make wedding favours – orders can be collected directly from the chocolate kitchen, by prior appointment only.
