A small, picturesque bed and breakfast in a converted crofter's cottage, House O'Hill's food has become the big draw for both guests and non-residents. A concerted effort is made to source locally, with meat and fish coming from nearby businesses, and to serve meals that combine home-made traditionalism with unusual touches - specials might include frog's legs or crab parcels, followed by locally shot partridge or Moroccan lamb tagine. There's a focus on proper beer as well, with Scottish ales on draught in the bar, and an annual beer and music festival hosted in September. A 'Text Local' scheme offers locals and regulars a discount on regularly changing set menus.
