Popular gathering spot in Stockbridge dishing up beautifully presented breakfast, brunch and lunch.

Eating & Drinking Guide

The 2018/19 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £7.95 (+p&p).

The Pantry in Stockbridge uses Scotland’s larder to deliver wholesome food with a modern and fun twist. Bright and spacious inside, with mismatched furniture and wall hangings, the feel is chilled and light-hearted, and kids and pooches are welcome too. Eggs take centre stage across the breakfast, brunch and lunch menus, alongside other temptations like homemade Belgian waffles and appetising porridge bowls. The deservedly popular Sunshine on Stockbridge bursts with colour, brightening up any dreich Scottish day with its toasted sourdough topped with thyme-smoked tomatoes, roasted veg, smashed avocado, chilli and beautifully poached free-range eggs, optional chorizo, and hot sauce. While the food presentation alone will bring a smile, dishes also deliver on taste. Alongside the enchanting décor and staff, this well-established brunch spot arguably sets itself apart from the best competition around.
