Andrew Wilson likes bread – it says so on differentbreid's website, where under 'about me' it simply says 'i like bread'. He makes hand-crafted sourdough bread in the traditional manner, spurning baker's yeast for the naturally occurring yeast and bacterial spores in the flour, and offers a range of different flavours and textures; besides the Original (made using wheat flour with a blend of rye, spelt and oatmeal) there's the Broon-ite, flavoured with caraway seeds and coffee; a Wholemeal version; walnut & honey, and a spelt loaf. Find it at farmers' markets, IJ Mellis' cheese Glasgow branch, or pre-order to collect from WoodWinters Bridge of Allan every Saturday.

With a focus on sourdough, Andrew Wilson's breads remain popular in Glasgow despite the baker’s move to Bonnybridge. With no retail outlet, the differentbreid range can be found at farmer's markets and in stores including IJ Mellis cheesemonger and community fruit and veg shop Locavore. Differentbreid also supplies restaurants such as Stravaigin and Cail Bruich.
