The theme of the current incarnation of this style bar is literally plastered over the walls with eye-catching monochrome wallpaper featuring New York landmarks. The space is dominated by a huge curved bar and an open floor which suggests evening revelry rather than daytime dining. The cocktail menu fits the billing perfectly with a range of creations based on the Big Apple’s five boroughs, and there are a few American beers along with mainstream brews. For those in the mood for food, there’s a decent menu riffing off popular New York dishes so it’s all packed burgers, hot dogs and bagels, while a lunchtime menu offers great value.
- High point: Great range of cocktails
- Low point: Not many tables in main area
