Alison MacKay and Barbara Burden set up Eden Deli in 2008, on the site of an old fishmongers on Inveraray high street. The narrow store is packed with as much local produce as possible, including free range eggs, local preserves, Bumble puddings, smoked fish from Loch Fyne Oysters, Scottish cheeses and coffee, fresh soup and vegetarian or lamb stovies to take away. The latter are made from lamb reared by Alison's husband on Stronmagachan Farm nearby. They also run a catering service, including the option of ordering evening meals in the morning to collect before dinner.
