Something of an unusual concept – particularly for a far-flung island – but a successful one: an Indian / Italian restaurant with a strong local seafood bent. The menu is an idiosyncratic mix of east and west, with Scottish ingredients – a typical meal could start with scallop pakora, turn to spaghetti marinara or prawn jaipuri, and end with affogato. It’s an informal place with local artwork over the walls, not somewhere for your finest frock, and children are always welcome. It's small, so booking is recommended for the one sitting a night (7.30pm prompt), and they close over winter.
