The Fine Wine Company
An independent wine merchant founded in 2003 with the aim of sourcing a range more interesting than any supermarket’s. Currently sitting at 5000-strong, owner Adam Rankine favours smaller producers. He also covers everything from armagnac to whisky, and stocks – online and in-store – a wide range of beers and Scottish real ales from microbreweries including Williams Bros, Cairngorm and new kid on the block St Andrews Ales. And don't forget the cheese – a rotating selection of 10 to 15 from cheesemaster Iain Mellis. There are two Fine Wine branches, one in Portobello and one in Musselburgh.
