Fallen Brewing Company
Not open to the public.
A brand new craft brewery (technically pronounced 'faalin'), Paul Fallen’s first beer is a 5% peat-smoked porter called Blackhouse. This launched at the 2012 Edinburgh Independents Beer Festival, and kegs have been distributed to Fuller Thomson pubs around Scotland. Next to emerge was the bottled 4.6% amber Dragonfly, and then thick and fast they came: Odyssey, a 4.1% blonde ale marketed as 'an ale for lager lovers or a lager for ale lovers'; Grapevine, a 5.4% kiwi-hopped pale ale named after a 5000-square-metre grapevine that used to grow near Stirling, apparently the largest in the world. Session beer 1703 launched in December 2012, and Oceanic Odyssey is another blonde ale brewed with pilsner malts which appeared three months later. Fallen started life brewing in conjunction with Traditional Scottish Ales in Throsk, before moving into its own site near Kippen in Stirlingshire in early 2013.
