One of those rare bakeries making genuinely slow-fermented, additive-free bread (as stamped by the Real Bread mark), The Earth's Crust launched its range of sourdough and speciality loaves in 2011. From dark rye Borodinsky sour dough to classic French baguettes, focaccia to gluten-free bread, their farmers' market stall is based on what orders have been placed, and on local demand for certain items - their cinnamon rolls are now a constant sight, for example. Find them at Dumfries and Moffat farmers' markets, as well as regular deliveries to Sunrise Wholefoods and Deli 173 in Castle Douglas, and Leccornia Delicatessen in Dumfries.
