Highland Eggs was established in 2005 by Gordon Whiteford when he was just 24. Now the organic, free-range eggs from his 6000-strong flock of hens are available all over the Highlands. Hens are fed an organic diet of locally sourced cereals, milled on the farm, free from artificial fertilisers and pesticides. They are given more space than traditional free-range flocks, and are not beak trimmed. Stocked by farm shops, butchers and food halls across the Highlands including House of Beauly, Househill Farm Shop and MacLeod Organics, delivery is available for both domestic and commercial customers.
