Loch Duart specialises in fresh salmon, supplying whole and gutted fish to specialist retailers and wholesalers. The salmon farm was the first in the UK to attain RSPCA Freedom Foods approval, for rearing policies that include a unique one-year fallowing system and low stocking densities. Loch Duart's smoked salmon has a reputation for being some of the finest in Scotland, winning the Fish & Seafood Retail prize at the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards 2012. It can be bought directly from the smokehouse shop, or from delis, Booths, some Co-ops, Tescos, Dobbies, Jenners and Waitrose across the UK and also from lochduartsmokedsalmon.com. In 2008, Loch Duart bought Salar smokehouse and continued to produce their much loved flaky smoked salmon, and in 2014 launched frozen salmon fillets for home delivery, sold online in cases of 20 portions.
