Well established deli and café with an excellent array of cheese, dry goods as well as a formidable range of craft gin.
A popular delicatessen serving sandwiches, cakes and coffee to eat in or take away. They also stock a selection of European cheeses, local artisanal foods, wines and spirits. Now in its seventeenth year, the deli is well known locally as a place to pick up foodie gifts and have a natter. The admirable array of wine, mead and whisky has recently been overtaken by local gins – they now have 170 – with a constant rotation of new brands on display. Popular themed evenings are held once a month, either gin and cocktails or dinner prepared by a guest chef. Originally a Thomas Lipton grocery shop, the interior features original tiles forming a graceful pattern of thistles and shamrocks.
