The Pate family raise KellyBronze turkeys outdoors and at small scale for the local market at Christmas.
The Pate family have been farming here on the hills above Dundee for four generations. They rear premium quality KellyBronze turkeys – the Christmas meat of choice for Jamie, Delia and Nigella – and sell them directly to the customer from their festive farm shed at Christmas. KellyBronzes are reared traditionally in the fresh air, grown to full maturity and hung for up to 14 days to maximise on taste. Pre-ordering is essential, and the turkeys can then be collected from the farm just before Christmas. Festive trimmings are also then sold from the farm gate, as are locally farmed vegetables.
